Build a useful feedback loop from sales

“Bad leads” is a complaint, not a usable classification. Turn feedback into a small set of consistent reasons.

A practical sequence

  1. Agree on a short rejection list that sales can apply reliably. Distinguish unsuitable demand from failure to reach the person.
  2. Assign an owner and a working review schedule. Make the operating commitment realistic for the sales team.
  3. Return structured status and reason fields. Keep unnecessary personal details out of marketing events.
  4. Review disputed examples together and version the rule when it changes. Preserve older cohort definitions for comparisons.

The decision to take away

Judge whether feedback changes decisions. A field nobody uses does not close the loop.
